Air purifiers

Some patients with multiple chemical sensitivities and asthma have benefited from using air purifiers, but only those that use an electrostatic precipitator. Those filtration devices with a Hepa filter do not seem to be effective as it does filter small enough particles to be of much help.

Electronic personal air purifiers are wonderful little things, whether worn around the neck, in cars, or the 'Ionic Breeze' desktop models. They are 100% compatible with the MP, and I used to have them everywhere around my house. The strange thing is, I never found the ozone they put out as being annoying at all, despite what you read about ozone and asthma:)

I am highly allergic to any other air purfier except this one. They do not make it for a large room, which is why I wear it all the time. It works on a “corona” discharge which makes this product different from ALL the rest. It is made by Wein Products. Anyone interested, let me know and I will be more than happy to tell you about it. The Ionic Breeze doesn't have a fan. There are units with electrostatic filter cells available from Sears, inter alia, that have fans and therefore cover larger areas. But Ionic Breeze works well enough if you are within a few feet of it. Take a look at

Some Allerair air cleaners have very sizeable activated carbon filters (as well as HEPA) but they are expensive, big, and slow to acquire.
