The use of 300-400MHz TETRA two-way radio in the UK has increased sickness in Ambulance and Police personnel using it.

Industry has very effectively distracted science away from electrosmog, and towards cancer and cellphones themselves. That has to change. But change is difficult when the EMF meters for retail sale, except for our Cormet ED85EXS, bottom out above the -60dBm area of interest - meaning that dirty environments look clean - and while people suffering from EHS cannot control their environment, and therefore cannot demonstrate cause and effect. ”
“People have asked me why I don't get paranoid about “dangers from cellphones.” The reason is they really do not put out as dangerous a level of radiation as the electrosmog, or as the major sources of radiation in a home.
Alasdair Phillips explains that a modern cellphone only uses the power it needs, and no more. This is why I said in the final slide of my St Petersburg presentation that EHS and Cellphones can co-exist, as long as we lower the levels of electrosmog using something like Google's “Project Loon”
KT - over on SchwannSongs posted the following links this morning to material of great interest to us. It is translations from 1977 of USSR studies which documented harm to humans from electromagnetic exposure. Here are two that I found particularly interesting. especially the high rate of Cardiac problems… https://t.co/Vg7ySN3L0J Both are PDF files: https://t.co/jh58ZPO1dK
FM, shortwave, and TV frequencies are lower than cell phones and WiFi, and therefore carry less energy per photon. But the photon flux is much higher. Typical FM and TV towers radiate at 50,000 Watts, rather than your cellphone's 5Watts. Thus the total energy in the microwave photon flux from SW, FM and TV may be just as high as with microwave signals, and it is this total flux which affects our molecular biology.

Recognition of the Electromagnetic Sensitivity as a Disability Under the ADA
The Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (Access Board) is the Federal agency devoted to the accessibility for people with disabilities. The Access Board is responsible for developing and maintaining accessibility guidelines to ensure that newly constructed and altered buildings and facilities covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Architectural Barriers Act are accessible to and usable by people with disabilities.
In November 1999, the Access Board issued a proposed rule to revise and update its accessibility guidelines. During the public comment period on the proposed rule, the Access Board received approximately 600 comments from individuals with multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS) and electromagnetic sensitivities (EMS).
The Board has taken the commentary very seriously and acted upon it. As stated in the Background for its Final Rule Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities; Recreation Facilities that was published in September 2002: “ The Board recognizes that multiple chemical sensitivities and electromagnetic sensitivities may be considered disabilities under the ADA if they so severely impair the neurological, respiratory or other functions of an individual that it substantially limits one or more of the individual’s major life activities. The Board plans to closely examine the needs of this population, and undertake activities that address accessibility issues for these individuals.” Following its recognition of electro sensitivity and its declaration of commitment to attend to the needs of the electromagnetic sensitive, the Access Board contracted the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) to examine how to accommodate the needs of the electro sensitive in federally funded buildings.
In 2005 the NIBS issued a report.

From Report (page 11): “Electromagnetic Fields
For people who are electromagnetically sensitive, the presence of cell phones and towers, portable telephones, computers, fluorescent lighting, unshielded transformers and wiring, battery re-chargers, wireless devices, security and scanning equipment, microwave ovens, electric ranges and numerous other electrical appliances can make a building inaccessible.
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) notes that scientific studies have raised questions about the possible health effects of EMF’s.
NIOSH recommends the following measures for those wanting to reduce EMF exposure – informing workers and employers about possible hazards of magnetic fields, increasing workers’ distance from EMF sources, using low-EMF designs wherever possible (e.g., for layout of office power supplies), and reducing EMF exposure times (11).” ——————————– Dafna Tachover EHS Fight Back: blogspot
mvanwink The RF is doing damage whether we see it or not, or whether our friends or family acknowledge it. My cousin who lives in the country in a small town got cancer of the sinus on the side of the head he uses his cell phone. My mom had an acoustic neuroma which at least in rats could only be initiated by exposure to RF. And the story goes on.
This is modern life. We have to adapt. What we have learned here will allow us to be healthy in what has become a world hostile to life.
As for myself, because of shielding I no longer have muscle knots except when I get a long term (week long) dose of -30 dBm or stronger RF - that was with protection (not the newest garment which are 10 dB better). So, it looks like we can be more normal than a 'normal' person, but it requires protection.
